Dr. Jesus F. Jara, a nationally recognized education leader, is the former Superintendent of the Clark County School District in Nevada – the fifth largest in the United States – and the current Global K–12 Practice Leader at Prometric, Operating Partner for Vistria, as well as a Board Advisor for Edmentum, Soliant, and MGT. His leadership has catalyzed academic gains, operational efficiencies, and equity-centered reforms across urban, suburban, and rural communities.

With a career that spans from the classroom to the Capitol, Dr. Jara has built trusted relationships with state leaders, superintendents, prime ministers of education, and education stakeholders around the world. Carlos Jara is a results-driven operations leader and consultant with over six years of hands-on experience in the manufacturing and energy sectors. He helps small and mid-sized businesses improve operational performance, manage capital-intensive projects, and build systems for sustainable growth.

Carlos brings a process improvement mindset to everything, rooted in his background in continuous improvement, Lean principles, and Kaizen methodology. He has a proven track record of identifying inefficiencies, streamlining workflows, and implementing practical solutions that reduce waste and increase productivity. Whether it’s optimizing a production line or standardizing a cross-functional process, Carlos focuses on solutions that drive measurable results.

As a project manager Carlos has led over $20 million in capital projects from cradle to grave—handling everything from initial idea generation and business case development to implementation, closeout, and ROI analysis. He excels at balancing strategic planning with detailed execution, overseeing complex timelines, stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and budget control. His structured yet flexible approach ensures that projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with lasting value.

Carlos holds a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering and Management Systems, as well as dual Master’s degrees in Engineering Management and Business Management from the University of Central Florida. This unique combination of technical and business expertise allows him to bridge the gap between frontline execution and high-level strategy.
